Age is reckoned on the closing date. Relaxation is subject to ICMR guidelines; the notice does not give numerical category-wise relaxations. Remuneration for retired government employees is governed by the separate fixation provision citing Ministry of Finance OM No. 3-25/2020-E.IIIA dated 9 December 2020. The remuneration amounts are payments to the appointed consultants, not application fees.
Eligibility: Senior Consultant (Scientific–Non-Medical)
- Professional route: A minimum qualification of MSc, BTech, BE, MCA, MPH, BPharm, BAMS, BSMS, MD in AYUSH or equivalent in a relevant subject, proven competency and success in the area of specialization and at least 12 years of post-qualification experience.
- Retired government employee route: The requisite qualification, previous service in a regular post at Pay Level 10 or above, and at least 10 years of experience in the required specialization.

Eligibility: Consultant (Finance)
- Professional route: At least 8 years of experience in Administrative, Finance & Accounts, Audit or Legal work in a government department, PSU or autonomous body, with a postgraduate degree in a relevant subject listed in the notice, including Management, Law, Public Administration, Finance & Accounts, CA, ICWAI, Commerce or Economics.
- Retired government employee route: A bachelor’s degree in any discipline, previous service at Pay Level 7 or above, and 10 years of experience in the listed fields.
Qualifying experience must be gained after the minimum required qualification. Experience certificates must identify the candidate, post, salary, area or field of work and duration. Offer letters, salary slips, joining reports and emails are not accepted as substitutes for experience certificates.

Selection and contract conditions
Applications may be shortlisted for a written test/interview; a test may be conducted if required. No test/interview date is announced in this advertisement. No TA/DA is payable for attending the selection process.
The initial engagement is for a maximum of one year. Extensions depend on requirements and satisfactory performance, up to a total maximum of five years or age 70, whichever is earlier. The Finance post’s entry-age limit remains 40–60 years. This temporary engagement does not confer a right to a regular appointment.
The engagement is full-time and cannot overlap another remunerative position. Persons already serving in regular time-scale service in a government department or organization are ineligible under the notice. PF, LTC and medical benefits are not provided.
